At many bike shops, customers are asked to stand over a bike to determine if it’s the “proper” size. While this will quickly identify a bike that’s too big for you, it will do little to determine if the bike can be properly adjusted to maximize comfort and efficiency, and reduce the chance of injury. While a correctly-sized frame is the first step in achieving a good fit, proper component configuration is essential to accommodate a cyclist's individual proportions and needs. That’s why we provide a full body bike fit session with every road and triathlon bike we sell.

At Pedal Ranch Bikes, bike fitting is the process of adjusting and aligning the bicycle while simultaneously educating the customer about cycling form. Once on your bike, we start at the power source – your feet- and work upward to ankles, knees, hips, torso, shoulders, elbows, and hands. This progression optimizes each position point: cleat placement, saddle height, saddle fore and aft location, stem length and angle, bar width and rotation, and brake lever position. Evaluation by this established routine accomplishes the ultimate goal: comfort, power and efficiency on the bike.
